Who We Are

The Sisters in Crime Grand Canyon Writers chapter is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and serves chapter members in the United States, Canada and other geographic areas.

Founded in 2020, the chapter welcomes and supports all writers, regardless of genre or where they are on their career path. The purpose of the chapter is to provide support, education, skill development and mentorship to help experienced and aspiring writers achieve their individual, professional goals and build successful, long-term careers as published authors.

The Sisters in Crime Grand Canyon Writers chapter is a chartered member of the national Sisters in Crime organization. We embrace and adhere to the national Code of Conduct and Sisters in Crime’s Core Values: Advocacy, Equity, Inclusion, Community.

Sisters in Crime Grand Canyon Writers welcome people from all backgrounds, regardless of religion, age, race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, citizenship, medical condition, genetic information, or any other relevant characteristic. We will not tolerate any discrimination, abuse, or harassment based on these—or any other—factors.

Monthly Chapter Meetings take place on the second Saturday of each month, excluding July. Because our valued members are located in multiple states and countries, to best serve them, our monthly chapter meetings are virtual at this time, via Zoom. In Arizona, the meeting time is 10:30 AM to 12 Noon. Please click on the Meetings and Events tab on this website for the correct meeting time in your time zone, and to learn about other chapter events.
